Overview
The Economic Development Partnership concentrates on the retention, growth and development of area companies. We support our rich manufacturing base and strive for innovation in all sectors. We are able to link area companies to other companies as well as local and state resources.
The Michigan Small Business & Technology Development Center (SBTDC) provides low-cost services to businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the country. Our local SBTDC office is based in Jackson and they provide:
-Free business consulting
-Low cost training and workshops
-Market research for entrepreneurs working on their business planGRANTS.GOV Grants.gov provides a complete listing of grants available and who is eligible to apply for them.
SBA The Small Business Association provides resources including information on SBA Loan programs, the small business planner, tools and services.
MICHIGAN.GOV The Michigan Business One Stop Center is designed to help you start and manage your Michigan business.
The Michigan Economic Development Corporation offers assistance to current and future business owners in the state.
The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center offers small and midsize companies training and assistance in six sigma and lean manufacturing operations.
The area Procurement and Technical Assistance Center located in Jackson helps businesses win federal and state contracts.
Committed to workforce excellence, South Central Michigan Works helps local employers recruit, develop and retain skilled workers. Their Business Solutions Program will design custom training programs for your employees.
